"The Real Thing" (1989) und "Angel Dust" (1992) erscheinen als Re-Issues mit Raritäten
Im Mai veröffentlichen Faith No More mit "Sol Invictus" ihr erstes Album seit 18 Jahren. Anlässlich dieses musikalischen Großereignisses erscheinen "The Real Thing" (1989) und "Angel Dust" (1992) am 05.06. als aufwendige Deluxe Editions – jene Klassikeralben also, mit denen die Kalifornier den Grundstein für ihren Kultstatus legten. Jedes der Alben erscheint als Doppel-CD mit dem Originalalbum und einer zusätzlichen Disc mit vielen Raritäten.
So eröffnet die Bonus-Disc von "The Real Thing" eine ganz neue Perspektive auf viele der Albumtracks, etwa durch Remixe von "Epic" und "Falling Into Pieces" die Live-Aufnahmen von "Surprise, You’re Dead", "Underwater Love" und dem Black Sabbath-Klassiker "War Pigs". Auch die B-Seiten "Cowboy Song" und "The Grade" wurden auf die Bonus-Disc genommen.
Unter den neun Tracks auf der Bonus-Disc von "Angel Dust" befinden neben einem Mix von "Midlife Crisis", der vom langjährigen Bandproducer Matt Wallace vorgenommen wurde, ein Trio von Liveaufnahmen aus München, das Dead Kennedys-Cover "Let’s Lynch The Landlord" und die unvergessliche Version des Commodores-Songs "Easy".
