Coldplay als "BBC Music British Artist of the Year" ausgezeichnet

In London wurden gestern Abend die BBC Music Awards vergeben – und Coldplay konnten sich über einen der Hauptpreise freuen: Die Band wurde als "BBC Music British Artist of the Year" ausgezeichnet und setzten sich damit gegen Adele, Calvin Harris, David Bowie und Jess Glynne durch. 

Coldplay konnten der Gala in Londons ExCel nicht persönliche beiwohnen, da gestern Abend ihre Australientour in Sydney startete, doch die Band bedankte sich in einer Videobotschaft mit den folgenden Worten: "We just got told about winning this beautiful BBC Artist of the Year award. Sorry we’re not there, we are about to go on stage in Australia. Look at all those people and we love you and we are so grateful and we’ll see you so soon. Thank you so much and goodbye."
