Es gibt kaum einen Musikpreis, der in Großbritannien so begehrt und anerkannt ist wie der Ivor Novello. Der von der British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors (BASCA) verliehene Award ehrt "excellence in British and Irish songwriting and composing" in den Bereichen Songs, Alben, TV, Film und Videogame-Musik und findet jährlich in London statt. Am Freitag wurden die Gewinner des Jahres 2019 in 14 Kategorien zelebriert – und freuen konnten sich gleich mehrere Künstler von Warner Music: Dan Caplen wurde für seinen Song "These Days" mit Rudimental und Macklemore in der Kategorie "Music most performed work" geehrt, Jonny Greenwood für die Filmmusik zu "Phantom Thread" und Natasha Kahn alias Bat For Lashes für die Musik zur BBC-Serie "Requiem".
