Hayley Kiyoko hat einen schlichten Wunsch: "L.O.V.E. me"
"I’m Too Sensitive For This Shit" – so hat Hayley Kiyoko ihr neues Projekt genannt, von dem sie bis Januar regelmäßig neue Songs herausbringen wird. Nach "I Wish" und "Demons" im Oktober gibt es nun #3, "L.O.V.E. me".
Über einen fröhlichen Beat macht sie darin ein unmissverständliches Angebot: "L.O.V.E., let me be, be your company / H.E.L.L.O., let me know if you wanna go". Aktuell hat Hayley daran nämlich noch so ihre Zweifel: "Don’t tell me you love me / If you don’t really want me". Sie selbst ist jedenfalls willens, an sich zu arbeiten, um die Beziehung zu ermöglichen: "I’m workin’ through my issues / Yeah I’m gonna kiss you".
"I’m Too Sensitive for This Shit" erscheint im Januar. Der Nachfolger von Hayley Kiyokos 2018 veröffentlichtem Debütalbum ist kein typisches Album, sondern eher eine Sammlung von Singles, wie sie kürzlich dem Rolling Stone erklärte: "I’m just trying this new thing where if I write it; I’m just going to release it", so die 28-Jährige. "I might as well share what I’m going through instead of disappearing and coming back."
