Da freut sich jemand: "I’m so so excited to announce that my debut E.P. 'When The Light Hits The Room' will be OUT THIS FRIDAY!", kündigte JC Stewart am Dienstag an. "I’ve dreamed about this day since I started writing songs 8 years ago and I’m properly proud of this thing. Songs born out of lockdown and finished a few weeks ago, I’m so excited to let you hear it". Der Nordire schrieb die Songs von "When The Light Hits The Room" in der Lockdown-Zeit im Frühjahr gemeinsam mit Tom Odell. 

Nach seinen Single-Erfolgen wie "I Need You To Hate Me", "Too Many Nights", "Lying That You Love Me" oder "Pick Up Your Phone" kann man sich morgen also auf die erste zusammenhängende Songsammlung des Singer-Songwriters freuen. Das muss gefeiert werden: Im Hinblick auf die EP-Veröffentlichung spielt JP Stewart heute Abend eine spezielle Livestream-Show, die aus dem The Luney in seiner Heimatstadt Magherafelt in Nordirland übertragen wird. Unten gibt’s einen Trailer zu sehen, los geht es um 19 Uhr im YouTube-Player (zu finden ebenfalls unten).

Hierzulande überzeugte JC Stewart live bisher u.a. bei einem exklusiven UK-Showcase von Warner Music in Berlin, beim Reeperbahn Festival, dem Rolling Stone Weekender und dem SWR3 New Pop Festival. Kommendes Jahr ist er für Auftritte bei den Festivals Hurricane & Southside bestätigt (18.-20.06.).
