Live-Session mit der aktuellen Single "The Stranger" bei Stephen Colbert

Ingrid Andress war in der Late Night Show von Stephen Colbert zu Gast. Für die "Play At Home"-Edition der Sendung nahm die Musikerin eine Wohnzimmer-Session ihrer aktuellen Single "The Stranger" auf, bei der sie den Song am Keyboard vortrug. "And you play the stranger / I'll play the girl at the bar" – in dem Song stellt sich Andress in einer Beziehungskrise vor, wie es wäre, ihren aktuellen Partner noch einmal neu kennenzulernen: "The same place where this all got started / Sometimes I wish I didn't know you at all / So we could do it all over / And fall all over each other again". 

Gegenüber Apple Music kommentierte die Musikerin: "The whole point of the song is acknowledging that it’s kind of a tragic thing, but there’s still hope, because I think love is a choice. Most love songs don’t talk about how it does get a little stale if you don’t work at your relationship, and that it’s a completely normal emotion to feel."
