Wie "Strawberry Kisses" schmecken? Sehr gut natürlich! In seinem neuen Song singt Thomas Headon von einer Begegnung, die ihm eben diese Küsse bescherte – und das ziemlich unerwartet, denn "I didn’t think that she would like me / But now she wants to call me baby". Unten gibt es das Musikvideo zum neuen Song des Indiepop-Sängers, Songwriters und Producers aus London, in dem er uns mit auf den Rummel nimmt. Und das passt bestens, denn eine Fahrt in der Achterbahn ist in etwa so euphorisierend wie der Kuss eines Erdbeermundes.
“‘Strawberry Kisses’ is my experience of spending a night with someone who I didn’t really expect to", kommentiert Thomas Headon. "It was the classic experience of “they’re out of my league” suddenly turning into “never mind, this might be going somewhere”. I’ve been playing this song live for a while now, it feels good to finally have it out so people can hear it outside of the shows. I think it’s the most honest and straightforward I’ve been in a song, in a way that’s pushed me out of my comfort zone a bit, my mum doesn’t really like it for that reason."
Mit seiner neuen Single kündigt der 21-Jährige zudem seine neue EP "Victoria" an, die am 11. März 2022 erscheinen wird und ab sofort vorbestellt werden kann. Wie der Musiker berichtet, schrieb er die Songs über die letzten sechs Monate an unterschiedlichsten Orten. "Musically it’s somewhere I’ve always wanted to be and I’m really glad that I’ve done it with this record", sagt er weiter. "It’s basically a look into my diary over the past half year, being hopelessly f*cking in love and hopelessly in love with f*cking. It’s been quite a big step for me, putting out songs that are super honest and mean so much to me, but it feels great and I hope there’s a teenager somewhere experiencing what I did making this EP and relates to it in the same way.”
"Victoria" ist Thomas Headons dritte EP und folgt auf die 2020 veröffentlichte Sammlung "Goodbye“, die mit den Singles "Loving You“, "Focus“, "UrbanAngel1999“ und "Cut And Bleach My Hair“ viel Beachtung fand und schon über 50 Millionen Streams generiert hat.
