Live-Performance mit "private island" für COLORS

Fans von Gunna werden sich vielleicht erinnern: Vor gut drei Jahren war der Rapper aus Atlanta, Georgia schon einmal bei COLORS zu Gast, jenem beliebten Format aus Berlin, in dem Musiker:innen in einem Studio vor einem schlichten, aber oftmals knallig bunten Hintergrund performen. Nun kehrte der Musiker von Young Thugs Label YSL Records in die Show zurück, diesmal mit einem Song seines jüngsten Albums "DS4EVER", das Platz 1 der US-Charts eroberte und hierzulande Platz 14 erreichte.

Mitgebracht hatte Gunna "private island", das er in einem grafischen blau-grauen Outfit vor braunem Hintergrund rappte. “I’m just kickin’ it with a baddie, smokin’ on exotic / Ain’t it ironic, look at me now, I used to sell narcotics / Couldn’t sell it whole, had to break it down, but now it’s all profit”, singt Gunna im Refrain des Songs, der zu den ruhigeren, introspektiveren Momenten von "DS4EVER" gehört.  “They don’t like advice, but I know this life just ain’t for everybody / I done heard too many times you can’t get rich with no knowledge / Told the shawty if she mine, then promise me you keep it solid / You know bitches talk, but you with a boss, so we keep our business private."
