In England sind die Nominierungen für die diesjährigen BRIT Awards bekannt gegeben worden. Unter den nominierten befinden sich eine ganze Reihe von Warner-Artists: Joel Corry (Foto) ist gleich dreimal nominiert, als "Best British Male" und "Breakthrough Artist" sowie "Best British Single" ("Head & Heart" feat. MNEK) , wo von Warner Music außerdem Nathan Dawe ft. KSI ("Lighter") und S1mba ("Rover" feat. DTG) ins Rennen gehen. Biffy Clyro sind als "Best British Group" nominiert, Lianne La Havas als "Best British Female". In den internationalen Kategorien wurden Cardi B ("International Female") und Burna Boy ("International Male") berücksichtigt. Vorab war bereits Griff als Gewinnerin des diesjährigen "Rising Star Award" verkündet worden, für den außerdem Pa Salieu nominiert war. Glückwunsch an alle Nominierten! 

Die BRIT Awards 2021 werden am 11. Mai in der Londoner O2 Arena vergeben. Moderiert wird die Show zum vierten Mal von Comedian Jack Whitehall, als Live-Performer des Abends sind bisher Griff und Dua Lipa bestätigt. Griff kommentiert: "In my head I'm still screaming from the phone call when I found out. It's honestly such a miracle: how on earth did we manage to win a BRIT and break through during a pandemic?"
